ASCnet TENCon attendees get their dance-on and cruise in style!
ASCnet TENCon, held September 15-18, 2010, marked the Applied group's 25th anniversary. The event was hosted at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago, providing the perfect backdrop for attendees to learn, network, and have a great time
Upon entering the TENCon exhibit hall, attendees were greeted with the Dance Heads attraction at the SMART I.T. Services booth. The hilarity began when participants had their heads superimposed on the body of an animated dancer with use of a green screen. Heads bobbed and jived to the hits while entertaining the crowd of onlookers. Even Real Time Eddie joined in the action with an energetic performance of "Pump Up the Jam." Music and laughs could be heard around the booth both days of the show, providing a perfect break between classes and breakout sessions.
Afterward, Dance Heads participants took the hilarious footage home on DVD to show their friends, family, and co-workers. Many positive comments were received by the SMART I.T. Services staff, making Dance Heads a great experience for all involved.
At the conclusion of day one, a group of TENCon attendees boarded the First Lady Yacht on the Chicago River for a beautiful evening cruise. Guests were treated to drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and buffet, all while having an amazing view of the Chicago skyline.
The cruise kicked off with a guided tour of Chicago’s architecture, as the captain pointed out noteworthy structures and told the stories that made many of them famous. Guests relaxed and socialized as the cruise continued into the night.
The response was overwhelming as over 80 guests exited the yacht and thanked us for such a great evening. SMART I.T. Services would like to thank everyone who made it such a memorable evening!
Once again, ASCnet TENCon proved to be a valuable event. After years of attending, this year’s TENCon confirmed that not only is it a great learning opportunity for agencies, it provides us with valuable knowledge that we can take back to help our agency partners with their IT and automation.
